System design, low-level design, behavioural rounds for SDE 1 to staff.
Software engineering interviews split across system design, low-level design, coding (in writing or live), and behavioural rounds. The interviews here focus on the design and behavioural surface — the conversational, structure-heavy parts where most candidates lose points despite knowing the technical material. Coding rounds need a different practice modality and are not in this catalog.
Each interview is a 20 to 40 minute live conversation that probes scope clarification, capacity estimation, component sequencing, and tradeoff defence. The interviewer interrupts when the structure drifts and asks for justification when a choice is asserted without one. After your session, the scorecard separates structural reasoning from technical depth so you know which lever moves your overall performance.
